Production engineering from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master of Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems from Brunel University (UK) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe (dissertation stage) and a member of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (Z.I.E), Engineer Savala has worked for companies such as BICC CAFCA, Tube and Pipe Industries, Hastt, FSI Agricom Holdings, Accolade Holdings holding the positions of Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer, Technical Executive, Managing Director and Group Managing Director.
He has acclimatized himself with the lifts industry and is recognized and acknowledged by NSSA as a responsible person in charge of all elevator safety issues within the company. Ivan has received training on a number of brands of lifts and continues to equip himself on new technological advances in the lift industry. His training and experience gives Excel technical advantage in the industry.
